Guiding research that is ethical and grounded

We support researchers in creating work that is ethical, spiritually rooted, and academically rigorous.

Why Research Ethics Matter

Research in Islamic Psychology ensures scientific integrity. It must honor the dignity of every person, uphold the integrity of Islamic knowledge, and follow rigorous scientific methods.

IAIP’s Core Principles(or Research Ethics Framework) ensure that all studies in our field protect participants, respect sacred knowledge with scholarly grounding, and contribute to a trustworthy and evolving body of evidence that serves humanity.

Core Principles

Scholarly Authenticity

Islamic Psychology must be rooted in the Qur'an, hadith, and taught with rigorous academic standards. IAIP verifies accurate representation, proper sourcing, and rigorous academic standards

Bridging Wisdom

We are connecting classical Islamic knowledge with modern psychology. Instead of choosing between tradition or contemporary science, we combine them in a way where both strengthen each other.

Human Dignity (Karama)

Protect and honor human dignity in every application of Islamic Psychology. Respecting every participant’s wellbeing, autonomy, privacy, and rights.

Accountability

IAIP establishes accountability standards for all Islamic Psychology professionals. Submit work for ethical review, follow standards, and demonstrate commitment to advancing the field responsibly.

Informed Consent & Safety

Submit work for ethical review, follow standards, and address conflicts of interest.

Faithful Representation

Respect every participant’s wellbeing, autonomy, privacy, and rights.
